The Krabi sea cave tour is a must do trip when visiting Krabi. This trip is suitable for all ages. Even if you are not very fit you can have a guide do all the work for a small tip leaving you to just sit back and take in the stunning views.
The trip is set in Bor Thor Village, 35 minutes from Gillhams Fishing Resorts, with a stunning backdrop of limestone karsts surrounded by the National Park jungle. As you paddle through the thick mangrove forests that line the path to the sea caves you will see an abundance of wildlife, from monkeys to tropical birds and other animals that live along the water’s edge.
As you arrive at the caves you can get off your kayak and enter by foot and explore the many cave systems that lead off through the limestone karsts where you can get a guided tour and learn how the sea gypsies lived in these caves many years ago. Some of these caves still have evidence of the people that populated these parts thousands of years ago, including ancient cave paintings.
During your trip you will even take your kayak through a tunnel underneath the limestone mountain where the entrance can only be accessed at low tide due to the huge stalactites that block the entrance when the water is high. Once you go through the tunnel you will then come into another mangrove forest inside the mountain where there are many types of wildlife including birds, monkeys and many other animals.
