Krabi is surrounded by national parks and thick lush rainforest with hundreds of waterfalls. Unfortunately there are only a handful that are easily accessible by short walks along beautiful jungle trails. Some of the waterfalls have a few different levels, each with their own plunge pools, some shallow only allowing you to sit and paddle in, while others have deep pools where you can jump off the sides of mountain ledges into the cool mountain spring water.
As the waterfalls are set in such peaceful locations you can also see lots of wildlife including tropical birds, monkeys, barking deer and many different types of insects and other wildlife.
Waterfall trips can be done as group tours with other tourists or can be arranged with private cars leaving you to spend as much time as you want at each destination without having to follow strict programs. If you opt for the private car you can still find out information at the waterfalls with help from staff and park rangers.
Waterfall trips will require comfortable walking shoes, towels, sunscreen and a small amount of money for souvenirs, food and cold beverages.
