Lake View Thai Cookery School

Cookery school; learn how to cook a range of Thai dishes, after you have cooked your meal it will be served to you in our beautiful outside dining area overlooking a stunning 12 acre lake overlooked by lime Karst mountains. Every participant will be emailed a folder containing all the cooking methods, recipes & ingredients and a Gillhams Fishing Resorts apron.

                                                                                        Thai Cookery School:

Program 1, Resort Guest.

Our Cooking schools open seven days a week starting at 11am to 1pm, choose from three menus for 1,800 baht per person. Every participant will be emailed a folder containing all the cooking methods, recipes & ingredients and a Gillhams Fishing Resorts apron.

 

Menu 1:

Spring Roll (Pork mince, glass noodles and vegetables wrapped in a filo pastry & fried)

Tom Khai Ghai (creamy coconut soup with lemon grass, galangal, onion, tomato, chilies, lime juice)

Chicken Cashew nut (fried garlic, onions, carrot, sliced large chilies, cashew nuts fried in a chili paste)

Pork Penang (curry paste, sweat sauce, fish sauce, thinly sliced chilies & kafir lime leaf)

Pad Thai Prawn (Rice noodles, egg, prawn, tamarind sauce, bean sprouts & spring onion)

Menu 2:

Chicken Satay (chicken fillets marinated and cooked & served with a peanut sauce)

Tom Yum Goong (Hot & sour prawn soup, veg, lemon grass, galangal, onion, tomato, chili, lime juice)

Chicken Green Curry (coconut milk, curry paste, kafir leaves, basil, palm sugar, onions & aubergine)

Pork Pad Khaprow (garlic, chilies, onion & hot basil leaf (kapow) with soy sauce & oyster sauce)

Egg Fried Rice (garlic, onion, carrot, tomato, spring onions, egg, rice & soy sauce)

Menu 3:

Vietnam Spring Roll (Imitation Crab, cucumber, sesame seeds & lettuce wrapped in soft rice paper)

Glass Noodle Spicy Salad (tomato, spring onion, coriander, vermicelli noodles, spicy lime dressing)

Chicken Massaman (coconut milk, palm sugar, tamarind, onions, peanuts, chicken, chili & potatoes)

Larb Moo (minced pork, fish sauce, lime, rice powder, chili powder, red onion, spring onions & coriander)

Yellow Noodle Prawn (Egg noodles, egg, vegetables & prawn, light sauce with fragrant Thai basil)

Menu 4:

Larb Cakes (minced pork patties, fish sauce, lime, rice powder, chili, red onion, spring onions & coriander)

Chicken Glass Noodle Soup (clear broth with noodles, coriander, garlic, pepper & chicken)

Prawn Tamarind (prawn, sweet & sour tamarind sauce, garlic with dried onions & cashew nuts)

Pork Red Curry (coconut milk, curry paste, kafir leaves, basil, fish sauce, palm sugar, onions, aubergine)

Chicken Pad See Ew (stir fried rice noodles, garlic, broccoli, egg, chicken, light & dark soy sauce)

 

Program 2, Outside Guests.

Thai cookery classes; located 20 minutes from Ao-Nang at Tumbol Khothong, lessons are available seven days a week with classes starting at 11am to 1pm maximum 5 people per class, choose from four menus for 1,800 baht per person. Every participant will be emailed a folder containing all the cooking methods, recipes, ingredients plus a Gillhams Fishing Resorts apron.

Spring Roll (Pork mince, glass noodles and vegetables wrapped in a filo pastry & fried)

Transfers from Krabi Town, Ao-Nang, Nopparat Thara, Ao-Nammao, Klong Muang & Tubkaak return 1,200 baht. Free transfers for groups of 4 people or more, also free transfer from Tha Lan Bay and Khothong.
